Thanks, Craig, I appreciate the kind words. Yes, the Wonderland Trail has a steep profile. You are obviously the best judge of what you can do, but keep in mind that many backpackers take trips just on a section of the Wonderland, and there are enough designated backcountry camps to plan short days. I describe my favorite section hikes in my e-guide “The Complete Guide to Backpacking the Wonderland Trail in Mount Rainier National Park.”

The elevation gain/loss certainly gives me pause, however, as I have a pacemaker and two stents which means I usually go for the most level hikes possible. I appreciate your site and love your photography and reviews (of both hikes and gear). Keep up the good work!
